Gunman Shoots 3 In Troy Workplace
April 9th, 2007 by Shaun Boyd
Anthony Lacalamita, 38, is being held suspect for the shooting of three people inside an accounting firm in Troy, Michigan. One woman is dead, and two men are injured as a result of the shooting. Lacalamita, who was fired from Gordon Advisors last week, surrendered to police 30 miles north of Troy near Saginaw after a 15 minute car chase.
What makes this story so terrifying is that I declined a prospective job opportunity to work at this very Gordon Advisors Accounting Firm in late February. If I had taken interest in the position I may have been present during this morning’s shooting.

I’m so very happy you weren’t hurt. And I’m so incredibly sorry about people going “postal” on jobs. I wish there were support available for them before it came to this.
I heard about this at the Boys & Girls Club because parents were calling frantically to make sure their kids were locked inside the building. What I think is the most sad is that my boss told me their receptionist had retired and came back to fill in temporarily and she was killed. That’s just completely unfair and sad.
