Long-term Goals: My Piano Progress
January 13th, 2011 by Shaun Boyd
For the bulk of my life, I envied anyone that was musically talented. I was jealous of those who could bust out piano songs like they were pros. Eventually, though, I became fed up with simply wishing that I could play piano, and started actually learning.
I got my first keyboard for Christmas in 2005, and have slowly been working my way up ever since. I’ve had a few different instructors, a few different teaching styles, and a few different instruments. Check out my piano progress in the video below:

I love this video because I sometimes forget about your old apartment(s) and it is kind of cool to see the setting and you and your piano skills evolve!
Wow, what an awesome improvement! Kudos!
I teared up a bit when the song really got started. I figured you might appreciate that.
May I share this on FB? I have a bunch of friends who would like your musical choices(BIG shock, I know!) Particularly the Ronfaure piece.
Great progress! More importantly is that you found a way to participate in something you enjoy. Too many people are content to be spectators, but getting into the game is the best way to enjoy.
Congrats!
FFXI ! Good times! 🙂
We watched the video, great improvement since you started. Enjoyed it so much. Always wanted to learn the piano too, but was no good at it, tone-deaf. Oma, papa and I enjoyed it a lot. Have not read your site for over a year, don’t know why I did today. Glad you are fine. Greetings to Cassie and her family too. Oma got 69 cards as of today. We love you.
